Douglas Schumacher serves as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Hickman Companies in 2009 as the Director of Finance/Accounting, he spent almost thirteen years with Crescent Real Estate Equities Ltd., a then-publicly-traded REIT based in Fort Worth, where he developed an extensive background in the commercial real estate industry. Doug began his career at Ernst & Young LLP as a member of the audit team, after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Texas in Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Doug is also active in the community, where he currently serves in various volunteer roles for his church, the Gladney Center for Adoption, and youth organizations such as University Little League.
